Banana & Oats Smoothie

‘Banana and oats smoothie’ a perfect, healthy and filling breakfast for busy mornings. A tasty, creamy and wholesome smoothie. It is a simple recipe and all ingredients are easily available at home. Best thing about this smoothie is there is no artificial sweetener added.

Bananas are a rich source of carbs, which occur mainly as starch in unripe bananas and sugars in ripe bananas. Bananas are a healthy source of fiber, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and various antioxidants and nutrients.

Ingredients

Milk – 2 cup
Ripe banana – 2 (medium size)
Rolled oats – 3 tsp
Dates – 2 nos

Garnish (optional)

Honey – 2 tsp (as per your taste)
Seeds mix – 1 tsp (sunflower seed, pumpkin, etc) If not available you can use crushed dry fruits.

Step by step recipe

Step 1: In a pan add 3 tsp of rolled oats and roast it nicely.  remove it in a plate and keep it aside to cool.

Step 2: cut ripe banana into pieces. remove seeds from dates and chop it into 4 pieces.

 

Step 3: In a blender jar add 2 glass of milk, banana pieces, 2 tsp of roasted rolled oats and chopped dates. Blend it nicely until a smooth texture is formed.

Step 4: Pour smoothie into serving glass. Drizzle honey on it and top it with crushed almonds & cashew.

TIPS:

  • Use ripe banana as they are more sweeter.
  • Dates should be soft if not available then soak it in water for 3-4 hrs, so that they will blend nicely.
