Peppermill’ a casual dining restaurant offering Indian cuisine with inventive recipes and alluring flavors, located in ‘The Dubai Mall’. We were so glad to know that a fine dining Indian Restaurant finally is opened in ‘The Dubai Mall’. Visiting Dubai mall with family, guest or friends is always been exciting but our only concern use to be was the unavailability of a good Indian dining restaurant. Now, after our visit to ‘Peppermill’ at ‘The Dubai mall we feel that our wait for Indian cuisine is over😊
‘Peppermill’ have limited branches located in Abu Dhabi & Dubai and this was our first visit at ‘Peppermill, Dubai.
So, let me share my experience of our visit with our guests.
This restaurant is located in The Dubai mall above the Apple store which you will find it easily. the location itself is a bonus point.
Ambiance: At the entrance, you will be welcomed by their executive who will guide you to the seating area. They have Indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating has a decent Colonial-style interior, wooden finish, effective lights, with modern seating arrangements. Outdoor seating, the area is small and much similar to a balcony wherein they have placed tables & chairs in a row. The outdoor area has limited space but you will get a lovely, beautiful view and you can witness Dubai fountain show & Burj Khalifa (not full but partial view). In winter outdoor will be the best place to enjoy culinary, weather and view.
As the weather was favorable we opted for available outdoor seating.
What we ordered:
BEVERAGES
Berrylicious: This is our most favorite drink at any ‘Peppermill’. As the name itself articulates this drink is a mix of different berries. freshly muddled strawberries, blueberries, raspberries mixed with cranberry juice, sparkling & spun candy. enjoy this drink with an added effect by pouring liquid nitrogen. Served in a big round shape glass which can be shared by 2-3 people.
Valley of flowers: This was ordered for my husband. The base for this drink is green tea with added forest fruit, fresh berries, lime & cranberry juice. It was different and average in taste. served with an added effect by pouring liquid nitrogen
STARTER
Chaat Platter – This dish is basically a selection of chaat (Indian street food). This platter includes pani puri, samosa, karare palak chaat, Dahi Bhalla, along with sider ‘tamarind chutney’ and ‘mint water’. All the chaats were tasty and good.
MAIN COURSE
Kadhai Vegetable: Kadhai vegetable: This dish is a mix of vegetables like baby corn, tossed beans, bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes. Spiced up with kadhai masala, Indian spices have a perfect balance of taste. We all liked it.
Dal Makhani: This is slow-cooked black lentil blended well with tomato & butter. (sorry missed to take a pic).
BREAD BASKET: A mix of roti & Naan. Nice and freshly made, tasty and were soft to consume.
Vegetable Biryani: A long-grain fragrant rice cooked with fresh herbs green cardamom & saffron. Well combined with light spices and vegetables. This was a good portion sufficient for 3-4 people. served with raita (curd) as a sider.
Service: A nice and generous welcome by their two executives at the entrance. food was served within a short time only our waiter was not in a good mood seems to be.
So, overall we had a great time, relished the blend of traditional flavors and contemporary tastes.
we will visit again at ‘The Dubai Mall’ branch. For the location and menu, you can visit their website.
