‘Sagar Ratna’ is a famous Rajasthani restaurant that servers authentic Rajasthani veg cuisine. Their menu consists of a wide range of authentic Marwari and North Indian dishes. Basically, ‘Marwar’ also known as ‘Jodpur’ is a place located in Rajasthan state, India. Their cuisine is vegetarian and is famous for dry snacks & chat items and not to forget sweets (desserts) prepared in pure ghee.
After knowing about this restaurant we thought of ordering food for the first time and opted for their special menu which is ‘Dal Bati Churma Thali’. Additionally looking at the menu we thought of exploring other dishes also. So, our order was Dal Bati Churma thali, Bajra Roti with Gatta curry and Paneer paratha.
let me start with food delivery. We received our food on time and it was nicely packed in a customized box of their brand.
Dal Bati Churma Thali: It consists of Dal, Bati, Rice, Gatta curry, pure ghee, 1mirch pakoda, pickles, salad, and a dessert. portions/quantity were sufficient. Me & my husband relished dal Bati with ghee. Rice and Gatta curry combination itself is nice and so was the food and something different from your daily dal, rice.
Dessert -It was kind of dry sheera (suji ka Halwa) added nuts and ghee. (basically, a dessert made from semolina & sugar).
THALI
Bajra Roti & Gatta curry: As known bajra roti comes thick in size. Roti was soft but its bit difficult to chew compared to wheat roti. So, people who really like should order. Gatta curry was medium spicy and good. kids may not prefer this dish as the roti is thick.

Paneer Paratha: Paratha had a decent paneer stuffing inside and was well quoted with ghee/oil above. It was tasty and medium spicy as per our requirement. It came along with sider, curd and pickle.

Overall we had a good meal. As said each person have their taste & likings but there is no harm to explore new places and different cuisines.
Tips to share which we follow:-
- while ordering ask them about the level of spice in the food. you can always inform them to prepare food according to your taste (spicy).
- check Quantity & portion, accordingly order.
- if doubt ask about ingredients (fresh, well-cooked, etc)
If you follow these two points chances of disappointment will decrease.
