Kababs and kurries is a member of the ‘Royal Orchid Group’ of restaurants, Abu Dhabi. It serves Indian cuisines and is popular for delightful kebabs, delicious curries from different regions of India.
So, we went to have our lunch at Kababs and Kurries, located at WTC Mall which is easy to find and parking is available. The ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxing and quiet which aids to relish your meal. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Service is good and your order will be placed on the table within the expected time.
To start with, as all Indian restaurant serves and every other Indian person waits for till its ordered arrives is Popadoms with chutney (dip).
They served two different types of popadoms with chutney (dips)
So, we started off by ordering Soup and a Starter.
Soup: Smoked Tomato Shorba
Tomato Shorba, delicious hot tomato soup seasoned with cumin and sided with dry bread crumbs. Some artwork was done by my son on the serving plate with popadoms and chutney 🙂
Starter: Garden Garden laka Hari Bhari Tikki (V)
A Pan Grill assorted vegetable patty or cutlet served with mint chutney(dip). It was good but could have been better as it was not properly cooked till inside.
After having soup and starter, our appetite was almost filled. So, we thought to simplify the main course
Main Course: Butter Roti along with Dal Makhani.
Butter roti was nice, soft and crispy served hot.
Dal Makhani is a combination of Black Lentils and red kidney beans, garnished with cream. It had a creamy texture and the spices were perfect.
So, overall we had a nice lunch and was not very expensive. For 3people (2adult & 1child) our bill was approx 100dhs after adding Vat & got discount on card payment.
