Interlaken is a significant and well-known tourist destination and is the main transport gateway to the mountains and lakes of that region.
We stayed at a beautiful place name ‘India Village’ perfect location, weather, place…
Day5: Interlaken (Mt. Jungfrau The Highest Alp)
Mt. Jungfrau is a full day excursion from Interlaken to the Top of Europe. The view and adventure platform or SPHINX observatory deck at 3454meters above sea level is just breathtaking with a backdrop of ice, snow, and rock. It’s really hard to believe that you are actually at such a height, you get into a totally different world where every place is amazing in itself.
Other highlights are an Alpine sensation, Jungfrau panorama, snow fun park, swiss chocolate shops, Glacier cave etc.
As we reached the Jungfrau our first highlight was Glacier cave, passing through it was not easy for me. As it’s covered or made or ice it was freezing cold inside and because of ice floor it was damn slippery. But nice experience and you can see some nice fine Ice art done by the artist.
Second, was Jungfrau panorama film which provides a 360-degree panorama of the mountain world. worth watching, the beautiful and pics, Dolby sounds gives you a real feel.
3. The alpine sensation is a long corridor displaying tablet bear, images which remind of sacrifices made by the miners to open up the Jungfrau and a beautiful musical giant snow globe.
4. For snow lovers not to be missed is Snow-fun park, refresh yourself by playing winter sports, spin on an inflated tyre with snow tubing, sledging, zip line, & snowboard. We purchased tickets at the snow park and experienced the snow sports games. it was really fun, enjoy, great time especially kids my son loved it so much.

An unforgettable journey & experience which every person should feel it.
Transport: Train & Jungfrau rail.
Day 6: Harder Kulm, Lt.Yash Chopra statue (Indian filmmaker) & city walk.
Explore the mountain of Harder Kulm by cable car and get epic views of Lake Brienz, Thun, Jungfrau mountain & beautiful Interlaken from a viewing platform.
We took the first rail at morning 9am and reached the top. What a scenic view from the two-lake footbridge. Beautiful weather, morning, and a mesmerizing view from the top. Interlaken sits between Thun lake towards right and Brienz lake towards left and a glorious cow, standing at the foot-bridge. It was so calm and relaxing that one could spend his entire day. We could see people doing paragliding.
After 12pm we had a free day…to explore the city, shopping, paragliding etc.
We thought of exploring another city ‘Thun’, which was just 30mins by train from Interlaken. We had a walk around this beautiful place, explored their shopping market and purchased T-shirts etc. later we were able to grab some food at one Indian restaurant (Mahalaxmi) near the train station.

As we returned back to Interlaken we did shopping, souvenirs, gifts, Swiss watches, chocolate, and many more… All shopping details I have mentioned in another blog page (Shopping-Interlaken) don’t miss to read.
After Shopping we visited Lt. Yash Chopra statue which is on the same street. All details of our visit to Lt. Yash Chopra statue is mentioned in my another blog page (Lt. Yash Chopra statue – Interlaken).
We really had a great time and truly it was a memorable tour for all of us.
Day 7: It was time to say Good-Bye!! To swiss & a hope to see you again 😊
