‘World of Veg’ a multi-cuisine restaurant which provides a wide range of vegetarian food. It serves North Indian, Italian and continental cuisines. After reading a lot about this restaurant we finally planned for dinner at this restaurant.  

Ambiance: This is one of the best rooftop restaurant, situated in the prime locations of Pune city. They offer an indoor and outdoor seating area. As it is located on the 7^th floor you will get a great view of the city, especially in the evening/night. Indoor seating has decent and simple interior with a proper arrangement of cooling.

Service: Friendly staff and quick service.

What we ordered:

MOCKTAIL’S 

Virgin Colada: This is a common cocktail usually offered in many restaurants. It had a great taste and a nice blend of  pineapple juice, coconut milk with added fresh cream.

Sweet Lime Soda: My all time favorite refreshing drink.  It was prepared the way i like, chilled, not very sweet, tangy ness of lemon and refreshing flavor of mint. 

 

 

Italian Kiss:  Now, here we did a mistake we ordered this drink which was somewhere similar to virgin colada as it is made from the same ingredients only it was topped with cream and added vanilla ice cream but the base of this drink remained same i.e pineapple juice and coconut milk. (sorry missed to click the picture).

 

SALAD

Greek Salad: Salad was fresh nicely toasted.  salad contained pieces of tomatoes, sliced cucumber, onion, feta cheese, olives and seasoned with salt, oregano and dressed with olive oil. (only drawback was feta cheese pieces was too small should have been more or atleast medium size). Salad was served along with 2 toasted bread.

STARTER

Paneer Peshawari Tikka: It was average dish, nothing special or great. paneer was fresh and nicely marinated. 

 

PIZZA

Sicilia: An amazing a thick based pizza nicely topped with fresh tomato sauce, garlic, onion, sun-dried tomatoes, paneer cubes and mozzarella. pizza was yummm ideally this pizza contains mushrooms but my cousin is allergenic so we requested them to add paneer pieces instead. (sorry pizza picture clicked was blur so i am not posting).

 

PASTA

Barbarossa: This Italian dish we tried first time and believe me it was awesome and believe me we ordered it again. This dish is prepared in a creamy sauce which had a well cooked pasta added vegetables, garlic and Parmesan cheese. It was the best dish of the evening. Pasta was served with 2 garlic bread which was also tasty.

MAIN COURSE

Subz Dum Biryani: Great Taste served along with siders. Biryani was mild not very spicy or had any extra added garam masala. Rice was long grain basmati well cooked. Biryani was nicely prepared with veggies having a balanced flavor of spices. 

 

POINTS:

• This restaurant has waiting during peak hours so better go early or do pre booking. 
• Indoor Ambiance has dim lights or low lights which might not liked by everyone. basically i also like bright lights and colorful. I will definitely recommend this place for outdoor eating or for candle light dinner.
• If you have any confusion regarding menu then waiters will help you out.
• I felt the restaurant is bit pricey compared to other Veg restaurants but food quality is good and once visit can be done.
• parking is available for car and two wheeler both at the basement.
