Special Occasion is celebrated at special places and this time we choose to celebrate our marriage anniversary at Burj Khalifa – ARMANI/AMAL restaurant.
ARMANI / AMAL a high-end restaurant located in Dubai’s iconic tower – Burj Khalifa. The restaurant serves regional and authentic Indian cuisines. I was more fascinated by the location and fountain view from the restaurant. This amazing restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the Armani Hotel (Burj Khalifa).
Armani/Amal has a beautiful ambiance. Their décor is simple and elegant yet gives a classy look. They offer two different types of seating options Indoor and other outdoor seating(terrace). Indoor seating there is no view as such but you can still enjoy the food in a great ambiance. The outdoor seating will give you mesmerizing view of Dubai musical fountain.
So, let me share my wonderful experience at Armani/Amal.
We had done a prior reservation for outdoor seating as the climate was pleasant. At the entrance of the restaurant were enjoyed lovely and soothing Indian traditional music which was played by two musicians. We were welcomed at the reception by their attendant who guided us to our desired seating area i.e outdoor seating(terrace).
We were really amazed by the spectacular view from the terrace of Dubai’s Musical Fountain. We were provided with a menu card which offers various types of a set menu like Saffron, tasting, Anise, cumin, or you can also opt for ‘A la carte’.
We opted for A la carte and we ordered: Mocktails, Appetizers, Main’s, Accompaniments, Bread, rice, and Desserts.
As a welcome gesture, we were served with complimentary condiments i.e. Khandvi (Indian snack).
APPETIZERS
we ordered vegetable momos, Bharwan khumbh (tandoor) and Bombay Aloo.
Vegetable Momos: Tibetian style half-moon steamed momos. Dumplings stuffed with mixed vegetable were tasty and juicy. Served with chili/soya sauce and spring onions. It was tasty but was very spicy as it contained chili sauce so people who cannot eat much spicy food need to avoid.
Bharwan Tandoor Khumbh
Mushrooms stuffed with spicy cheese mixture and prepared to its perfection. It was accompaniment with quinoa salad and beetroot chutney. Quinoa salad was nice and beetroot chutney was complimenting well as a dip with mushroom. We loved this dish and was delicious.
Aloo Tikki Chaat
Crispy, golden brown loved the presentation & texture. Though I had ordered this dish for my son who doesn’t eat spicy food. I just got 1-2 bites but it was mouthwatering. My son loved it and finished all the pieces. It was served with tamarind chutney which was a perfect combination for chaat. My son thoroughly enjoyed the dish.
MAINS
Butter Roti and Aloo Bukhara kofta
Butter roti was soft and nicely baked. Sabji we ordered was Aloo Bukhara kofta which was also a new and unique dish for us. We had mentioned them to make it medium spicy. So, it was a perfect taste and it gave a tangy and nice mix of blended flavors. We enjoyed the dish with roti.
Rice and Dal Makhani
Nice long grain basmati rice was well cooked and Dal Makhani was little bland in taste should have been better. It did not taste authentic may be because they want to keep the dishes in a contemporary style.
DESSERT
Coconut/Mango Sphere
Dessert was well presented and the taste was truly heaven. Sphere made of mango flavor & which had a filling of exotic coconut flavor sorbet. It was topped with mango sorbet which gave a tangy flavor. They had balance the sweetness very well and coconut was complimented very well with tangy mango. overall a great fusion of white chocolate, mango and coconut flavor. we loved it.
MOCKTAILS
In Beverage (non-alcoholic), we ordered Strawberry Mojito and Watermelon Mojito.
Out dinner was nicely concluded with a surprise dessert and a beautiful rose. Thanks to the chef and wonderful staff.
Service:
Their Staff members are very customer friendly. They will guide you and explain in detail all meal options. They will cater to the needs whenever you have. Great hospitality!!
Food:
They have a live cooking station made of glass wherein you can view/see the chef’s, preparing delicious food. All the dishes are very well presented and plated.
Ambiance:
Lovely, excellent, amazing, wonderful…everything. The feeling of having a meal in Burj Khalifa is special. Amazing view of fountain show, downtown, and the tallest tower rising just above your head is spectacular.
led show from the terrace
we were able to witness the LED show along with musical which was displaced on the Burj Khalifa.
Tips
- Make a prior reservation for Indoor/outdoor seating. For outdoor seating, they have specific/fix timings. so ensure you reach the venue before 10mins.
- Dress Code is nice casual wear.
- They have fix/minimum cost which they charge pp for Indoor and outdoor seating. check while you make a reservation.
Tips for location
we had little difficult time to locate this restaurant so, I would like to share a few tips. Armani Hotel has a separate Entrance to reach this restaurant. To access this restaurant you need to go to the rear side of the Burj Khalifa’s – At the top entrance or musical fountain. They have their own separate valet parking or you need to walk around the entire parameter from the musical fountain.
So, overall we had a memorable dining experience with a great view, ambiance, and tasty food. service is excellent and food portions are also ample. I would definitely suggest for special occasions as it expensive but the feeling of dining in the world’s tallest building itself is a lifetime experience.
