Carving for Homemade style Non-veg then you must visit Surve’s restaurant. As the name suggests it’s a pure Non-veg restaurant serving Authentic Maharashtrian spicy cuisines. I am not hardcore non-vegetarian but I love homecooked & spicy food.
So, we visited their FC road branch, Pune. The ambiance is decent with wooden tables and chairs which are comfortable.
I had heard a lot about their Chicken Thali so we decided to order the same with additional siders. We opted for the following menu from their menu card.
Special Chicken Thali, Sukkah chicken, and Sol kadhi.
Mineral water is served free of cost (that was a surprise for us).
When the thali was placed on our table, we were just omg!!! it was mouth-watering and It’s too filling for a person. You really need a good appetite.

Thali consists of – Bhakri/Chapati, chicken curry(gravy), sukkah (dry) chicken, Keema, Boiled Egg, and rice.
The best thing is everything severed here is hot including freshly handmade chapati and Bhakri. The dry chicken was soft and nicely cooked. The other gravy served was spicy with a perfect mix of garam masala and chilly powder. The taste was well balanced and not very spicy.
The highlight for me was chicken keema, fantastic taste!!!

Best combination Indrayani rice with gravy…just delicious.

Additionally, order sukkah chicken

What we observed, in spite of the rush their service was too quick. Every staff member was attentive and polite. They will also guide you for menu selection and will answer your queries in a friendly manner.
Lows:
- Food is bit Oily.
- Sol Kadhi was too sweet, didn’t gave the authentic taste.
- As the place is small all tables are placed very close to each other so do not expect any privacy during talking.
- Ambiance and cleanliness can be improved.
- It’s a crowded and small place so need to have the patience for waiting, especially on weekends.
So, overall, it’s a great place serving hot authentic Maharashtrian food. The oil portion in food is more but you can keep it as a Cheat day 😊 Though the place is small their service is quick. Pricing is okay not very expensive or cheap I can say.
